Rie fu giving her live performance
On 9th May, Rie fu was back for her second acoustic live performance at Japan Creative Centre. The overwhelming response with a full house has proven once again that her vocals never fail to captivate the hearts of the audiences. The performance also marked the end of her Growing Singapore: Construction Site Paintings exhibition with a resounding closing success.
Rie fu displayed her music talent and sang some of her popular songs using guitar and piano during the performance, such as I wanna go to a place (ending song from anime ‘Gandame Seed Destiny’), Tsukiakari (ending song from anime ‘Darker Than Black’) and Life is like a boat (ending song from anime ‘Bleach’). In between her performances, she also shared some of her thoughts and feelings as a singer and an artist.
The music video Rie fu created that featured the different cultures in Singapore was shown as well. Titled ‘Singapore’, she visited communities representing each culture and showcased their charms in the video. Together with the exhibition, it was also for Rie fu to celebrate Singapore’s 50th anniversary this year and her moving to Singapore as a new home.
Many of the audiences even stayed after the end of the performance and interacted with Rie fu enthusiastically, where she had an intimate session with some of her fans. As part of her Asian tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her music debut, she will be going to Hong Kong for her next stop and subsequently other parts of Asia. Japan Creative Centre would like to wish Rie fu a successful performance and future!
